Lyla Boone

Lyla Boone was born on Halloween night, which she insists explains everything about her. She's spent her whole life more comfortable in the dark, with a book, than she has anywhere else.

She was a reader before she was much of anything else, the kind of kid who finished the assigned chapters in school and then the whole rest of the book in one sitting. Somewhere around age fourteen she picked up her first paranormal romance, discovered that the brooding creature of the night could also be devastatingly in love, and never fully recovered.

 

She hasn't looked back since.

These days she writes what she always wanted to read: steamy shifter romance with dry humor and a little lurking danger, where the alpha is as dangerous as he is devoted and the heroine gives exactly as good as she gets.

 

She loves all romance, truly, but she is hopeless, helpless, and entirely unashamed when it comes to anything with claws, fur, and fangs. Show her a growly hero with a protective streak and a bad attitude, and she will show you the next eight books she's about to write.

When she's not busy putting her characters through beautifully inconvenient amounts of peril, Lyla can be found reading (shocker!), drinking coffee strong enough to raise the dead, and defending the honor of the shifter romance genre to anyone unwise enough to raise an eyebrow at it.

She still thinks the monsters are the best love interests of all.
